In the time I was at DJS I grew their GCHH Facebook audience from 2,500 to nearly 17,000 followers and traffic to the website exponentially resulting in an increase in direct bookings through our website.
Website traffic for DJS was averaging 10,000 - 15,000 visitors PER MONTH, a few months were just shy of 20,000 visitors on the website - huge!
Website traffic for GCHH was averaging 15,000 - 20,000 visitors PER MONTH, a few months were between 20,000 - 25,000.
In the time I worked with GCHH I also:
- Consistently booked holiday bookings from my Facebook advertising
- Project managed the development of a brand new website for GCHH (which helped increase traffic and online bookings exponentially) seewebsite here
- Did Facebook content posting and Ads (the Ads are very effective for Holiday Property listings - some ads I did got over 1,000 clicks through to the website)
- Created Hot Deals and Special Offers and promoted across online and socials (also very effective, great for booking off peak season)
- Did Weekly eNewsletter send outs for GCHH (also very effective, resulting in increased enquiry & bookings)
- Outsourced Google Adwords Management (with a third party specialist)
- Did Monthly reporting on Google Analytics for both websites
- Did Monthly Facebook reporting

Also, here is some feedback for them to address, I’ve had a quick look at your website and Facebook pages:
WEBSITE
1) OVERALL
- First impression is that it’s old and tired, have you thought about updating it?
- You have such incredible properties and I don’t think your website showcases them very well
2) HOME PAGE
- this is valuable real estate for your website and could be used to showcase special offers, new properties etc
- I notice you are using Resly for your online bookings (CHECK AVAILABILITY BUTTON ON THE HOME PAGE HEADER), are you able to add filters to this search so that people can type in the property name and the number of guests or bedrooms? It’s not a very good guest user search experience the way it’s currently set up
3) PROPERTY PAGES
- I notice that if you’re in a property page & click the CHECK AVAILABILITY button in the header it will search availability just for that property but it’s not clearly instructed, maybe you can move it down into the actual text at the top of the description so it’s clearer for people
4) EMAIL MARKETING
- Do you do email marketing? I think I used to get them from you & I haven’t had one for a long time so I’ve just resubscribed on your website
- This is your business GOLD as these are people who have already interacted with your business either by subscribing to hear from you or previous guests or enquiries and the conversion rate can be really high!
- The subscribe was a little hard to find on your website so perhaps you can add this as a pop up and/or put the subscribe form in your footer so it shows on every page “Be the first to hear about our Hot Deals!"
5) FACEBOOK
- Facebook is an incredible tool for reaching your target demographic of guests, if you’re not putting some emphasis on marketing through Facebook then you’re missing lots of exposure, website traffic & bookings for sure!
- I used to spend $50 per property for a 7 day post/ad and often this resulted in 1000+ clicks through to the website, increased bookings & helped to grow the FB followers exponentially
- Super great for Special Offers, last minute availability specials etc!
